SYNTHETIC WICKER
Tortuga’s stain-resistant synthetic wicker is regularly subjected to “accelerated weather testing”. The superior wicker quality is achieved by the inclusion of “Chemissorb” and “Tinuvin” U-V Stabilizers manufactured by CIBA-GEIGY. The 3-YEAR WARRANTY covers the synthetic wicker strands against: cracking, splitting and unraveling under normal usage conditions.

SLINGS
It is recommended that slings get cleaned using a mild soapy lather and a sponge with some warm water. The material then needs to be immediately hosed off. 3-YEAR WARRANTY exists on all Slings, subject to normal residential usage and all care and maintenance requirements. Tortuga offers the best warranty on sling parts available in the industry today. For high-traffic commercial usage, all sling frame designs can be manufactured with double-wicker for extra durability.

TEAK TIMBER PARTS
Ever-changing weather conditions will alter the original look and feel to timber parts, meaning that character lines and surface cracks develop over time. We recommend that you use commercially available teak oil on your furniture at least once per season. Early, regular treatment with teak oil will drastically minimize weathering effects. Character lines and scratches can be sanded back with fine grade sandpaper.

GRANITE
This polished stone surface should be cleaned with luke-warm water, mild detergent and a sponge…or if necessary a nylon brush.

TRAVERTINE MOSAIC TABLES
each tile will slightly vary in color, markings, veins and texture. This is a natural characteristic for this surface. All stainable liquids will need to be cleaned off the surface immediately to prevent permanent staining. Periodic maintenance of the initial factory sealer with a penetrating exterior masonry sealer is also recommended. Follow application instructions. Avoid using solvents or abrasives on the table.

CUSHION CARE
Increase the lifespan of your cushion by storing in a dry place when not in use. Brush off dirt regularly when the fabric is dry. Sponge lightly with natural soap and lukewarm water.

DO NOT DRY-CLEAN, MACHINE WASH, TUMBLE-SPIN DRY, BLEACH OR USE ANY SOLVENT TYPE CLEANERS.

 

TABLES AND GLASS
Clean with a standard glass cleaner. Hot water must NOT be used on the table glass. All Table glass is TEMPERED so it can be many times stronger than ordinary glass. Also for safety reasons, if the tempered glass is cracked, it should safely shatter into small pieces. Acts of nature, dropping items onto the table, or improper usage voids the warranties. Consult your home and contents INSURANCE POLICY, to make sure that outdoor furniture can be covered under the home’s contents. DO NOT reposition the table by dragging it! Tables larger than 100cm in width or length should have TWO people move it.

ALU-MESH
3-Year Commercial and Residential frame and mesh welding warranty applies. Cleaning of Alu-Mesh items should not exceed the usage of mild detergent, sponge and warm water.


• ALL Warranties are made void when furniture is damaged due to acts of nature, abuse or lack of proper care. Commercial applications can change the conditions of the Warranties, according to which items are being used, and the location or the nature of the commercial premises. Consumables, such as chair feet are subject to wear and tear, and are not considered part of the frame. Please consult our Customer Service Team or the Website for more detail.

• Tortuga will repair or replace at its option the pieces or parts that fail during normal usage, due to structural defects occurring at the manufacturing stage. Products discontinued or unavailable will be replaced by similar available items.

• Positioning your furniture under a shade cloth structure like awnings or pergolas will also maximize the lifetime of its original look. Alternatively, buying covers for the table and chairs should also lessen the extent of damage caused by the environment.

• Retain all plastic moldings and tubes to minimize scratching when stacking or storing your chairs. DO NOT OVER-STACK your chairs and DO NOT EVER DRAG a stack of chairs. This may cause structural damage over time.

• Scratched aluminum frames can be serviced by carefully applying Tortuga’s TOUCH-UP PAINT aerosol. This is made available through the point of sale.

• FOR ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS, PLEASE CONTACT THE RETAILER / POINT OF SALE WITH YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE RECEIPTS. Service reports between the Point of Sale and Tortuga need to be adhered to for the Warranty procedures to commence.

• Freight and or transport of goods for replacement or repair are the responsibility of the consumer.
